I stood, transfixed, today.
A single drop of rain sat quivering on a branch
I touched it, and it fell.
I stood, transfixed, today.
Glistening ice shimmered with light I couldn’t see
On the roof of a car.
I stood, transfixed, today.
The dying sun threw golden light up, up
To the chimney tops.
I stood, transfixed, today.
I saw a hundred people pass me by like grains of sand
None were the same.
I stood, transfixed, today.
I found out something more about who He is -
Unchanging but always new.
I stood, transfixed, today
And so I knew I had to tell you what I found
So maybe you’d look tomorrow.
