Well, it is now, amazingly, 2006. Not sure how that one happened, but anyway...
Last night we had an excellent party at the house of the Salterites. The celebration took the form of a Murder Mystery. In the end, it turned out Sister Sledge (groan) had done it. We knew that all along, of course, we were all just going along with it, just pretending that all of our motives were equally lame...
My attempt at an Irish accent (since my name was..wait for it, you'll be laughing all day...Ray D O' Grapher, I decided Irish was the accent of choice) was very admirable, I think, although most people seemed to think it drifted to far into a sort of Indian, Scottish, Welsh, American, generic Eastern European melting pot at times. To be fair though, the few Irish people I know all say that my accent is not wholly accurate. I guess they must be wrong.
You may or may not be as excited as I was just now to find out that the church which myself and the Peru STEP team built in Trujillo has been officially opened in the last few weeks. This does not necessarily mean it is finished, mind (we're talking about Peru here, after all) but it suggests that very good progress has been made!
Please Note: The photo I have chosen to illustrate this blog is one taken by Hannah Willey, for absoloutly no reason whatsoever, with my camera.
