I haven't posted for a short while, mainly because not much has happened for a short while. On New Year's day we had dinner at my Aunt and Uncle's (I love family get-togethers, there's something incredibly therapeutic about the way conversation wafts about you). On Bank Holiday Monday I mostly just loafed about, though at one stage I seem to recall having done some study. Yesterday I went on a little shopping expedition to Guildford with mum, which was excellent, and not something I have done for a very long time. The highlight of this (apart from bumping into Auntie Brenda and co. again) was definitely my purchase of a new fountain pen.
Yesterday evening I was presented by my Mum with one of these Sudoko puzzles to solve. It was labelled 'Difficult'. It is work in progress. Generally I am against Sudoko, simply because it may be addictive, but then so is smoking, it doesn't necessarily make it a good thing. I am not even sure I was having fun whilst doing the puzzle. I was just sort of compelled...
The other thing worth mentioning is the very interesting TV program on El Nino which went out last night and which, of course, had lots about Peru. It even had what I think was probably the mountain we could see from our roof in Florencia de Mora. And there were lots of pictures of familiar looking desert. Though of course, if you want to be picky about these things, you could argue that the very nature of desert is that it will always look familiar. But please don't, because I am not sure how I will answer.
Fear not good people who worry that from the above post it appears I have not gone out much this week. We have designs on the Prince of Wales tonight for one last night before my return to the shining city of Exeter on Friday...
