After a somewhat fraught journey home due to my many bags (Reading station with four bags and a bridge to negotiate was an interesting challenge) I am glad to say I have safely arrived back home. Its all very homely and snug here, I must say.
Yesterday, incidentally, was Christmas day in our house in Exeter, and a fine occasion it was too. Christmas chicken (ingeniously disguised with the help of some cranberry sauce and brussel sprouts as Turkey) was consumed, presents were exchanged (thanks must go to Tim for exceptionally enlightening book about the north - which has put me in my place as a humble pansy southerner, I must say) and Trivial Pursuit was pursued.
