Good Times.

It has been an excellent week. Apart from the fact that I haven't had much in the way of uni work to do recently, there have been some marvellous moments. James and I went to a particularly good birthday party on Wednesday - at first it looked like I wouldn't know barely a soul there, but then it was like hall-rep-a-rama, and much fun was had by all. Also, LHD cooked sausages and mash for us on that day, and to add to the general brilliance of the occasion, Lucy and LHD did the washing up. Exquisite times.

Yesterday we went out to The Bowling Green and Henry's Bar again, which was also very good craic.

And already this morning (bear in mind, dear reader, that it has only just gone ten) I have had breakfast cooked for me by James Isaacs, and I have recieved £20 of book vouchers. The book vouchers were from the english department for taking part in their appallingly named 'buddy' scheme. Basically I have adopted a fresher, though between you and me, we have not actually met for coffee as we were planning to, because she appears no longer to be replying to my emails. Also, I should point out that these were £20 worth of book vouchers for Blackwell's, the only branch of which that I know exists being on campus, and therefore almost exclusively academic books. Never mind, I was very grateful, and quite surprised when they said 'we have no way of knowing that you are supposed to get these vouchers, but because its Christmas and you have shown initiative, you can have them whether or not you are involved in the buddy scheme'. I guess I must look like a trustworthy chap.

I plan to spend much of the day tidying my room and packing for the holidays. I am not actually going home till Sunday morning, but tommorrow is Christmas day number 1 (at least in this house), so I won't be able to do it then. And boy, does my room need a tidy.
