A visit from Mr Bird

On Friday my good friend Alec Bird came to stay for the weekend. It was good to see him, although at the time of meeting I was still a nervous wreck from a recent encounter with an especially aggressive dog on Pensylvannia Road. Anyway, that evening brought the first pizza meal of three that weekend. On Saturday morning I had the crossline homeless breakfast, which was certainly eventful. Alarmingly, I found myself assistant chef. If you know me, you will know that chaos inevitably insued, but somehow we made it through until 10am without me causing too many accidents.
Later that day we went to Teignmouth for a wander round. It was a mighty pleasant day indeed, even if it did mean we made the mistake of going to the coastline with a Geography student (Tim) leaving the rest of us (myself, James and Alec) to listen half-heartedly as he described things to do with wave cut platforms and the like.
In the evening Alec joined myself and the hal group for the second pizza session of the weekend, this time at Chloe's (who had helped in Lopes during the CU opportunity week).
The next day, after church, Alec and I met up with the ever-correct Jonathon Salter for more pizza at his house.
Then, yesterday evening there was the Belmont Christmas Quiz which James, Lucy, LHD and Tim all attended along with myself and Alec. Suffice it to say, we didn't come particularly close to winning.
Admittedly the photo I have chosen to illustrate the weekend is fairly bad, but if you want better ones you can always go to [http://sherv.deviantart.com]
