Yesterday I (very sensibly) chose to bring a box of Shreddies to my Chaucer lecture (need I explain, there was no cereal for breakfast, so I got some on the way to my lecture and then felt peckish.). This prooved a roaring success. By which I mean I ate shreddies and was able to share them around a bit. Quite fun having serious conversations about essays and then throwing in comments like 'would you like a shreddie?'.
Incidentally I won a competition on James and Tim's radio show at breakfast yesterday. This is mainly because I was the only person to enter. But I won. And that is rare.
I am writing two very engaging essays at the moment, one of which is fuelling my new-found Dickens obsession...as is the fact that we're off to see the new Roman Polanski film Oliver Twist.
The last comment I have to make is that I went to Drakes cafe today, just to have a look and do a bit of reading. Before I knew it I was being seated at a table ("for one? Are you sure?!") drinking a very over-sized cappucino. It was very loud and I sort of felt I should leave fast after I finished my over-sized cappucino. So I don't expect I shall go again, although the food looked quite good.
