Matt Rediscovered and Dulce de Leche Hits the House

I rediscovered the Chronicles of Narnia theme tune today, from the BBC series of the early 90s. It bought me back to Sunday tea-times past.

After the CU hall rep meeting I ambled back through town today, and who should I see but the man himself Matt. I should explain that Matt is a man who myself, Lucy Tim and James met around Fresher's Week last year. I remember having an intense and deep conversation about God in The Ship in town the first time I ever met him in The Ship in town. He would then occasionally come out with us, but then despite many (maybe too many?!) messages left on his phone (most of them in the classic rambling Dave style with which those of you who have experienced it will be all too familiar), and never saw him. I am happy to report he is well but has rather less hair than he used to.

On arriving back at the house, James and Tim had done the shopping which was hugely exciting. But my excitement really hit the roof (I may possibly have been guilty of shouting wildly and running around the living room) when they showed me that they had bought Dulce de Leche. This is a sort of toffee-caramel-milk spread thing which is popular in South America and which we used to eat lots and lots in Peru. I was whittering on about it yesterday, so they bought some to shut meup, I think. I can tell you categorically it is awesome stuff, only just recently available in Sainsbury's (quite pricey, bit of a luxury) and particularly good on crumpets as I have just found out. It also has the power to bring back hundreds of memories of Peru.
